I truly believe in being open-minded when working with women. I will not judge any choices you make for your birth and your baby. I am here to provide you with your perfect birth. I will be there from the time you hire me until after the birth of your baby. Beginning at 38 weeks, I am on-call 24 hours a day until your baby is born. Labor Support - I am with you continuously throughout your labor and birth. My job is to meet your needs during labor. I work for you – not your caregiver. During labor, I will help with relaxation and comfort techniques, suggest position changes, provide massage, aromatherapy and hydrotherapy techniques, fill everyone's basic needs (food, drinks, bathroom breaks, etc), help you acquire additional information about interventions if they become necessary, and generally just make sure your labor and birth go as smoothly as possible. I am also available to take pictures, if you would like! I can take as many pictures as you desire, as time permits. If you don't have a partner or your partner is not going to be involved with the birth, you can expect that I will give you all the one-on-one support you need.
Initial Postpartum - After the birth of your new bundle of joy, I will stay with you for up to 2 hours postpartum. I will help with initial breastfeeding, baby care, help mom get cleaned up and comfortable, and make sure that dad’s needs are met. If you need me before you are discharged from the hospital, I am only a phone call away.
1 Postpartum Visit - After the birth of your baby, I would like to visit you. I will call within the first 5 days to schedule a time that is convenient for you and your partner. I typically like for this visit to be scheduled within the first 2 weeks after the birth of your baby. This is a great opportunity for us to reconstruct your birth experience, troubleshoot breastfeeding problems, if any exist, assist with baby care or just hang out and admire your precious little one(s). I'm also available before the postpartum visit by phone or email if you need help or suggestions. I will also provide you with a written experience of your birth along with pictures I took for you. What I Do NOT Do:
As a labor assistant/doula, I do not do the following:
· I do not work for your care providers - I work for you. · I do not take the place of your partner. · I do not argue, take over, or steal the show.
Prenatal Visits - I will provide 2 prenatal visits. They are individualized to meet your needs and your schedule. During these meetings we will discuss your ideal birth, create a birth plan, discuss comfort techniques and positions that you may prefer during labor, talk about fees and payment options, and go over any other questions you may have. I am available by email and phone at any time prior to labor beginning. Please do not hesitate to call me if you have questions or concerns.
Fee for Services - I work on a sliding scale. My fee ranges from $300 to $450. My fee is based upon your financial situation and a final price will be established upon our consultation meeting. A $175 non-refundable deposit is required upfront to reserve your birth on my calendar.
· I do not make decisions for you.
· I do not perform clinical tasks such as vaginal exams, fetal heart tones, vitals, blood pressure, etc.

“Childbirth is an experience in a woman's life that holds the power to transform her forever ~ Passing through these powerful gates in her own way ~ Remembering all the generations of women who walk with her ~ She is never alone."
There is power that comes to women when they give birth. They don't ask for it, it simply invades them. Accumulates like clouds on the horizon and passes through, carrying the child with it.
